How avocado farming has become Narok’s green gold

The avocado, Kenya’s ‘green gold’, is a resilient, high-value crop not just for income but as a sustainable boost to both the economy and the environment. The Restore Africa Programme established a demonstration site in Earnest’s farm in Narok County to introduce the Hass avocado as a climate-smart farming method that will help farmers diversify their income, improve food security, and eventually improve livelihoods.
