Finance and Business Development
Africa Harvest’s finance and business development function is responsible for financial management systems that ensure the organization is giving Africa’s farmers the best value for the investment put in the organization. The financial management systems also promptly generate the appropriate management information required by the Management Team and Board of Directors to make sound decisions.
It rigorously enforces the Board-approved policy, procedures and manuals, regularly evaluates internal controls, including disbursements, expenditure to ensure and uphold accountability. It also plays a critical role in project initiation and resource mobilization. It has a specific mandate of ensuring all funding requests are adequate to match proposed activities; after funding, the program ensures all agreed targets and outcomes are met. The program also provides oversight related to legal compliance, reporting and donor liaison.
