Of critical importance to Africa Harvest’s work, are the issues of regulatory compliance and safety of new technological products. Africa Harvest is examining these two issues in its fast growing regulatory compliance and safety program. This program monitors developments in both voluntary and mandatory regulatory frameworks in Africa, as well as in the international arena to promote safety for Africa within existing legal precincts.
It strengthens and maintains contacts with stakeholders in government ministries and national authorities, non-profit organizations and industry associations to promote regulatory frameworks that work in the best interest of Africa’s food security and development. Africa Harvest’s programs and projects adhere to national regulatory requirements, which form the basis for our regulatory strategy and the management of regulatory data.
